SEAT have announced that they plan to launch the new Leon Cupra in 2017. The superb hot hatchback has been given a facelift, and added another 10bhp now giving 296bhp from its 2.0 litre petrol engine to make it the most powerful Cupra yet. It also comes with added 22Nm more torque, so it’s expected to improve on its 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds. To help with all this additional power, SEAT have introduced Dynamic Chassis Control which lets the driver choose between 4 different modes; Comfort, Sport, Individual and Cupra.
The new Cupra will be available in all of the Leon’s body styles - 3-door SC ‘coupe’, 5-door hatchback and ST estate – while the ST estate will also come with a new 4 Wheel Drive System named “4Drive”, similar to the system on the Leon X-Perience. But the Cupra is not just designed as a high-performance car, you’ll also get all the latest technology you’d expect from a new SEAT car, with driving assist features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Pedestrian Protection, Lane Assist & Traffic Jam Assist. You’ll also find some excellent entertainment features in the 8” Media System Plus Infotainment Device, as well as a keyless entry system.
